Our First Camping Retreat: A Resounding Success!

We are thrilled to share that our inaugural camping retreat was a tremendous success, bringing together 26 enthusiastic attendees for a weekend filled with camaraderie, adventure, and nature. The event not only fostered connections among participants but also showcased the generosity of our community.

A Weekend to Remember

The retreat took place in a picturesque location, surrounded by towering trees and serene landscapes. From the moment attendees arrived, the excitement was palpable. We kicked off the weekend with icebreaker activities that allowed everyone to get to know one another, setting the stage for a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Delicious Food, Thanks to Our Donors

One of the highlights of our camping retreat was the incredible food, all generously donated by our local supporters. We are immensely grateful to the businesses and individuals who contributed, ensuring that no one went hungry.

  • Breakfast: Mornings started with hearty meals, including Eggs, Bacon, Biscuits and coffee to fuel our adventures.

  • Lunch: Attendees enjoyed sandwiches and snacks that kept our energy levels high throughout the day.

  • Dinner: Evenings were filled with delicious Pork chops and campfire meals, where stories were shared, and laughter echoed in the night.

The sense of community was palpable as we gathered around the fire, sharing meals and making memories together.

Activities and Bonding

Throughout the weekend, participants engaged in a variety of activities that catered to different interests. From hiking scenic trails to team-building exercises, there was something for everyone.

  • Nature Hikes: Guided hikes allowed attendees to explore the beauty of the outdoors while connecting with nature.

  • Off Roading: Fun rides along the over 150 miles of national forest and state forest dirt roads.

  • Evening Campfire: Our nightly campfire sessions were a highlight, featuring storytelling, singing, and marshmallow roasting.

Looking Forward

As we reflect on this successful camping retreat, we are filled with gratitude for everyone who participated and contributed. The support from our donors made it possible for us to create an unforgettable experience for all involved. We are already looking forward to planning our next retreat, aiming to build on this success and continue fostering connections within our community.
